Color spotter and CaliforniaFallColor.com founder, John Poimiroo reported Just Starting, Patchy, Near Peak, Peak and Past Peak conditions all in Martis Creek Meadow on Hwy 267.
Color spotters are crediting the dry summer with the earlier turn this autumn at Martis Creek, and Poimiroo reported that his iPhone 14 captured the aspen much brighter than they looked in reality.
“They looked dry and some are past peak,” he said. “The aspen there have struggled for years due to the meadow drying.”
Overall the area is at Peak and you should GO NOW!
