Color spotters Vishal and Seema Mishra took a very impromptu day trip to Yosemite National Park on Halloween and “IT DIDN’T DISAPPOINT!!!”
“We have made many trips to Yosemite in all seasons but honestly we could never time it so perfectly during peak fall before,”Vishal said. “The colors in the Yosemite Valley were spectacular [on 10/31], the rainy and moody weather added so much drama.”
The big leaf maple, California black oaks, and cottonwoods are all at their peak, and the leaves are still holding really strong despite the rains. Hopefully, the colors should last another week or so, he added.
“To be frank, you cannot go wrong with Yosemite anytime of the year, but with the colors, weather and (lack of) summer crowds, it’s really one of the best times to be in the valley.”
