“When I saw the beautiful tree with the Christmas baubles in the sunlight across the street, I knew I had to go there immediately,” explained color spotter Ruby Jay. It turned out to be the right moment, as the sea fog soon rolled in about half an hour later.
“Because the sun was low-lying, I had to adjust the angles many times until the sunlight backlit the leaves and the baubles without wiping out the colors. My legs were sore afterwards, but I was totally content to finally have “my” Christmas tree.”
Christmas has come and gone and we are about to ring in the new year. We hope all of our readers found their own special tree, leaf or color in 2024 and will continue fall color spotting in 2025.
Happy New Year!
