Lucas Yan visited Gamble Garden in Palo Alto on Sunday, 10/27 and noticed that the Black Gum Trees on Churchill Avenue had peak color with some red leaves on the ground.

“Peak Bay Area color is usually in mid- to late November so it was nice to see something this early,” Yan said. After a little research he found that the Black Gum Tree is one of the earlier trees to change color.

“Gamble Garden itself is mostly green with a few red leaves on the ivy,” he added.
