Yesterday, Mammoth Lakes was reported at Peak color, and today, the same mountains featured in photos from Mammoth Lakes Tourism yesterday are now covered in snow!

What a difference a day can make when it’s up to Mother Nature.

This weekend is still a great time to check out the foliage in Mammoth Lakes, but it could be your last opportunity.

While some areas have been stripped and are displaying past peak colors, there are others popping in to steal the show. Snowcreek Meadow and parts of Mammoth Creek are in full swing, as well as some prominent clusters around town that are finally showing their yellow and orange hues.

Since the weather has moved in this week, however, these spots might look completely different by the weekend. Make sure to check the forecast and dress in layers before heading out for what might be the last call for fall in Mammoth Lakes.
