
This week, Mark Hanning-Lee, a regular contributor to this site sent in a special report from Maryland.
“I live in Orange County but sometimes visit the mid-Atlantic region for work,” he said.
“I photographed these fallen tulip tree leaves in the James Run region of the Stoney Forest Demonstration Area in Harford County, Maryland on Sept. 13, near the hunter parking area.”
There is no hunting on Sundays, so Mark was able to peacefully enjoy the pleasant, warm, and humid day in the forest.
