Convict Lake is looking lovely wrapped in golden hues.

Photographer Lynelle White visited on Oct. 2 and found changes in the aspen trees as well as the rabbitbrush.

The area was patchy then but over the weekend has continued to progress. There were “more color changes closer to Convict Creek and near the trail that goes around the lake,” White said. And lots of deer roaming in the area.

Michelle and Scott Quirsfeld took their new puppy, Sancho to Convict Lake on Sunday, Oct. 5 and found the trees and bushes along the pathway at the lake continuing to shift.

This area will be at peak in the next week so make plans to visit soon.
