Color spotter Michael Kwok always seems to be up for an adventure.
This year he went up Coyote Valley Road (near Bishop) on Saturday, October 3, and saw some fall colors at Coyote Creek (approximately 8600′ elevation).
“The area was at peak (75-100%), but the road requires a high-clearance 4-wheel drive vehicle, and the colors are a bit less extensive than the fall colors on Rock Creek Road,” he explained.
We love the unique location report but want to remind most color spotters to please make sure you are prepared when going out to places such as these.
