Mammoth Lakes locals, Angie Plaisted and Barbara Richter both independently made their way out to the Snowcreek Ponds this week looking for color.

Neither one was disappointed.

“I took another run out to the pond yesterday to snap this after our second dusting of snow,” Richter said.

While Plaisted added, “Sometimes you just have to stop the car to snap a few pix of the beautiful colors in your own stomping grounds!”

  1. Wow this looks beautiful. Thanks for posting. I tried to look it up on Google maps and couldn’t find it. If it’s easy to describe I would so appreciate it.

    Wonderful site and photographs!

    • The Snowcreek Ponds are next to the Snowcreek sales/rental office off Old Mammoth Road right across from Snowcreek golf course, in the curve of the road. I don’t know the address.
