Farewell Fall

On this final day of fall, we are reflecting on the beautiful 2024 season and the joy and color it brought to our lives.

Color spotter Philip Reedy sent in his final autumn report from his home near Davis where rainy, overcast days have created the perfect environment for bringing out the last of the fall colors.

“With brightly colored landscapes gone for this year, it’s time to forget about the big picture and focus on the small details,” Reedy said of his images. “Already looking forward to next fall.”

As we dive deeply into winter on the solstice tomorrow, we know we will enjoy all of the seasons to come and the unique beauty that each offers. Yet, we’ll be waiting with bated breath to share the awe-inspiring images of autumn with you next year. We too are “already looking forward to next fall.”
