Color spotter Marc Hoshovsky and his wife took a pleasure drive through Napa and Chiles valleys on Monday, looking for fall colors in the vineyards.
Unfortunately, Hoshovsky reported, “the vineyards are past their peak, which tends to be around harvest time. Many of the leaves are already falling off, and this week’s coming rains will probably take off a lot more. However, by looking carefully, I was able to get a few fun pictures of the colors today.”
Some of the vineyards in Chiles Valley had grape varieties that had spectacular rainbow colors among leaves on the same branch, ranging from deep purple to reds, yellows, and greens.
