Central Valley, Fall Color Report

Colors continue to move down to lower elevations throughout California, which makes for beautiful fall foliage in the Central Valley.

Photographer and color spotter Philip Reedy reported that the colors are looking great in Davis right now, with the Crepe Myrtle, Chinese Tallow, Chinese Pistache, Ginkgo and Maples putting on a show.

“The maples are past peak now, but others are nearing peak and should be nice for another week or two,” Reedy said. “The Ginkgo trees are either at peak or close right now and are just gorgeous.”
