Color spotter Soyoung Kim captured some great images of McGee Creek before the storm blew in last night.

“McGee Creek was looking spectacular, even if it was just a bit past peak,” Kim said.

Kim did add, “I had to up the shadows and exposure on the photo with my puppy—still haven’t figured out how to get photos of him that show his facial expressions that don’t turn out like a black blob on a cow’s body!”

It will be interesting to see what many areas in the Eastern Sierra look like later this week after the wind, snow and cold have made their way through the region.

McGee Creek Canyon (8,600′) – Peak to Past Peak. You almost missed it.
