Several reports from Lundy Canyon this week have us on the alert for this location to start to pop in the next week or two.

While still Patchy, colors are showing nicely in some spots while others remain green.

Color spotter Barbara Richter was hoping to kayak on the lake, but took a fall color walk instead when the water proved to be too low.

“I’ve been wanting to kayak on Lundy Lake for some time, so I headed up there early on 10/9/24, but was shocked to find it so low I couldn’t safely put-in anywhere,” Richter said. “So I walked around the immediate resort area and snapped some nice fall color photos. I did not drive back up canyon where I know the colors are even better.”

The lake may be low but the colors are just starting to glow. This is a location to keep an eye on for more progress soon.

Lundy Lake & Canyon (7,858′) – 10-50% – Patchy.
