Bishop Creek – Not Yet

South Lake, Bishop Creek Canyon (9/20/22) Betsy Forsyth

As seen in these pictures, Bishop Creek Canyon is not yet ready for prime time.

While there are hints of color up the canyon, it is Just Starting and a week away from a report of Patchy color.

Though little color can be seen, there are light splashes of yellow and orange along the hillsides and at the turnoff to North Lake.

The effect of drought is apparent at South Lake and among the willows circling North Lake.
