
While the beauty of the Eastern Sierra is in full fall bloom, strange things are happening in other areas of the state.
Color spotter Frank Dariano reported the following today.
“While I love seeing the photos from Bishop Creek as always, we have a wonderful fall going right now in Silicon Valley.
“Various species have been turning for weeks now and range from patchy to go now right in my neighborhood, Almaden Valley in San Jose.”
San Jose is at a low elevation of 82′ and should generally change colors much later in the season. It just goes to show that Mother Nature always has the last laugh.
