Beautiful Brentwood – GO NOW!

“Not everyone thinks of fall colors way out in the east part of Contra Costa County, but since I live out this way, I get to enjoy later season colors in my own town,” reported color spotter Jennifer Natale this week.

Brentwood has the Marsh Creek Regional Trail, which is all paved and great for walking or biking, she added. It passes through neighborhoods, town parks, Marsh Creek itself and along riparian environment with lots of egrets, herons, turtles and other birds.

Colors are at peak and a go now! It may last through Thanksgiving, since some of the trees along the creek are still turning. While the trail runs all the out to Oakley, this particular section’s photos are from the Brentwood section, in and near Creekside Park.
