Still Un-bear-ably Beautiful at Taylor Creek

“Taylor Creek, fed by Fallen Leaf Lake and flowing into Lake Tahoe, is well past peak. But the excitement continued with a few colors while we watched the Black Bears working hard to pull fish out of the ripples,” reported Michelle Pontoni.

“We saw very few fish today but this guy knew right where to find them. He pulled out five of them in the ten minutes we were there.”

A crowd of maybe 40 people of all ages gathered at the viewing area off Highway 89. A ranger assured that the bear had plenty of space for his safety, as well as the watching crowd.

Parking is very limited nearby and please, no dogs.
