Twin Lakes out of Bridgeport was a welcome respite earlier this week for our friends at Mono County.

“Yellow and gold was sprinkled all around the lakes and the dock at Mono Village was a respite in the sun on Monday morning.”

Both lakes were incredibly still, except when a fish breached the surface – a perfect reminder that fishing season doesn’t end until November 15. There is still time to view some color and catch a big one in this area.

Twin Lakes (7,000′) – 75-100% Peak (GO NOW!)

Other areas near Twin Lakes such as Virginia Lakes and Summers Meadow/Green Creek are past peak. While Conway Summit and Dunderberg Meadows still have some color to spare and are at Peak, but not for long with more winter weather in the forecast!

Virginia Lakes (9,819’) – Past Peak (You Missed It)

Conway Summit/Dunderberg Meadows (~8,143) – 75-100% Peak to Past Peak. You almost missed it.

Summers Meadow/Green Creek (7,200’+) – Past Peak (You Missed It)
