Color spotter Jim Adams reported from Nevada City on Oct. 19.
“Quite spectacular but really just starting in town,” he said. “Excellent weather to enjoy the mother-load and they have fall color maps at the visitor center.”
Adams rated the changes as patchy at about 33%.
