The Northern Sierra also received a blanket of snow this week and Highway 88 was looking heavenly as photographer Philip Reedy made his way through on Oct. 15.
“I left Davis very early so I could be there at sunrise,” Reedy said. “Woods Lake Road is looking great, but with the fresh snow the road was impassable, so you have to walk a mile or so to get there. Of course, this snow won’t last and the road will hopefully be drivable soon.”
“The cabin is beautiful with fresh snow, but the aspens behind it are fading fast,” he added. “The Hope Valley Meadow is still nice and from Sorenson’s to Woodfords is excellent right now.”
