Rain and snow hit California yesterday, Oct. 14, and as with many moments in time, out of the darkness comes light.
This morning a trio of very talented photographers sent in “snowliage” fall color reports from different locations, including the photo above from Laurel Creek near Mammoth Lakes, which photographer Dakota Snider said he had waited “YEARS” to capture.
Jeff Simpson, who was the CFC color spotter to coin the phrase “snowliage,” which means the collision of snow with fall foliage, visited Bishop Creek Canyon and also captured some beautiful shots.
While Philip Reedy filled us in on the Hope Valley area, which also received snow.
“When I say GO NOW, I mean right now!” Reedy emphasized.
Overall it’s time to head to the mountains this weekend for a beautiful but nearly at an end show.
