One week prior to its explosion of color, Sagehen Summit in Mono County had some fluffy visitors. Color spotter Kim Espinosa captured a flock of sheep being herded in the area.

The sheep seemed completely unaware of the seasonal change in the air even though there were small signs of it that day. They simple seemed content to enjoy the fresh mountain air.

Sagehen Summit hit Near Peak status on Sept. 18, so make plans to visit this area now if it is on your 2025 bucket list.
