
Students at Cal Poly Humboldt were feeling the fall change this week, according to color spotter Michelle Pontoni. “More of them were wearing jackets and getting an early taste of the colors around campus,” she said.
The Harry Griffith Hall wall of ivy is a favorite spot to watch as the area approaches October. It is at the corner of Harpst and B streets and easily visible by car.
Ginkgo Biloba trees lining the College Creek soccer field on LK Blvd were showing just a hint of yellow yesterday, while the Sunny Brae poplar grove on Samoa Blvd has barely begun its fall color dance. These trees are also easily visible by car.
