The King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas was Near Peak to Peak last Friday during Kathy Jonokuchi’s visit.

More of the Western Sycamore were Near Peak and the Fremont Cottonwoods were at Peak. The smaller valley oaks are about 70% peak.

“These captures were from the nature trail and area surrounding the Santa Monica Interagency Visitor Center,” Jonokuchi said. “Free parking for 2 hours. I highly recommend you drop in the visitor center if you are there on the weekend. The area south of the visitor center is getting ready for the Holiday Road light show, so not the best place to hike this time.”
