Steven Jones captured these glowing aspens on the Big Meadow to Dardanelles Lake Trail just about a week ago.
It looks to us like the area was near peak then, so it is most likely in its prime at the moment. The trail is near South Lake Tahoe and puts the area right on track to be outstanding this October.
Additionally, we don’t have record of this area being reported on previously on californiafallcolor.com, so we are giving Steve the honor of a “First Report” with his submission.
