Things are really lighting up in the Eastern Sierra. Colors are popping and color spotter Barbara Richter found Sagehen Summit last Friday, near peak.

“I drove to Sagehen Peak last Friday, September 20 and it is almost at peak color,” Richter said. “Mono Lake and the snowcapped mountains in the background were so beautiful.”

Richter also spent the first day of fall with three of her girlfriends on their Second Annual Ladies Pontoon Boat Ride on Convict Lake.

“Colors are just beginning to show there and with no wind, the clouds and sun popping out now and again, [it] made for spectacular photos,” Richter said.
