On Borrowed Time in Berkeley

While the 2025 fall season will be remember as one where many areas peaked early, a few others came in much later than usual.

One such place, as noted by color spotter Jennifer Natale, was a location in the East Bay.

“UC Berkeley’s Botanical gardens are at peak now,” she noted last Friday, “with a few areas past peak.”

“Usually I see these colors Thanksgiving week,” she added. “The Asia Garden is vibrant and they have an impressive collection of Dawn Redwoods that turn a bright orange hue in fall.”

“Definitely go within a week to see the last of these colors!” Natale recommended.
