Earlier this month color spotter Casper Goers visited York Mountain Road in San Luis Obispo County (east of Templeton) and was very surprised to find Bigleaf Maple and Black Oak in the area.
Both species are native to the area and while the Black Oak were slightly past peak and the Bigleaf Maples at peak at the time, they were still a beautiful sight to behold.
