Fall season has started a bit later in color spotter Kathy Jonokuchi’s neck of the woods; an anomaly this year when everything else started early.

“I visited Peter Strauss Ranch in Agoura Hills, part of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, on 11/11 and 11/23,” she said. “The biggest difference was that the seasonal creek was full after a dry summer. The western sycamores were about 40-50% in fall foliage.”
