Color spotter Lucas Yan went to Oakville and Yountville this weekend and reported some interesting information.

“The storm in the last few days blew the top off the tops of the Chinese Pistache trees in Yountville so some of the trees might look more yellow/green than usual (since the red leaves start from the top), but the trees seem to be at peak,” he explained. “There is another storm coming in which might blow off more leaves so I would go as soon as possible.”

The Ginkgo trees at Far Niente are a nice yellow and are also at peak. A reservation is required to enter the winery, he added.
