Burney Falls and Beyond

Peter Robbins had a busy week of consulting work in Redding last week but managed to sneak in some fall color capturing.

I went up to our vacation home in Viola near Lassen Park and I snuck in a few pics of the lovely pond near our place up there on Thursday before heading to work, he said.

Even though he was unable to capture any photos in Redding, he was happy to report that all the exotics are gorgeous and should remain so, typically through Thanksgiving in all the neighborhoods and all over town.

On Friday, Oct. 24 he made it up to Burney Falls where color was abundant, starting with the stretch of  SR 44 just east of Viola, with some lovely color along 89 in the Hat Creek region, but really all the way from Old Station to Burney.

“The falls themselves are flanked by color, and golden color fills the park,” he added.
