Still Shining at Convict Lake and the June Lake Loop

Convict Lake is always a stunner, and this week was no exception. There are some pockets past peak, but the aspen grove in the back is still showing off. Trees near the picnic area and along Convict Creek leading out of the lake and down toward Hwy 395 are also still looking great.

Don’t miss the paved path from the Marina, around the lake, to the shale beach. Most people park at either end and immediately get on the trail around the lake, missing all the beauty along this short portion of the trail that is paved.

The June Lake Loop was another area that said goodbye to green in the last five days. The ridges by Silver Lake Resort are absolutely fired up and there are still lots of colors to see. If you haven’t made the trip yet, there’s still time to catch the show and the Fall Festival is happening here this weekend!
