The countdown is on to opening day at Mammoth Mountain in Mammoth Lakes, but until then you can enjoy a beautiful blend of winter and fall magic.
According to our friends at Mammoth Lakes Tourism, “The recent snowfall brought a beautiful blanket to town, Mammoth Mountain and the Lakes Basin. The colors are still hanging on and pockets of snow are expected to remain in high elevations through the weekend.”
The Lakes Basin was closed temporarily during the storm, but the gate on Lake Mary Road has reopened. Please note: the gates on Old Mammoth Rd and just beyond Tamarack Lodge remain closed.
