The fall colors are in full effect in Bishop Creek Canyon. There are a variety of colors, from yellow and orange to red, and yet, quite a number of aspen stands that are completely green.
Surveyors Meadow is absolutely incredible with oranges and yellows (peak, and almost past), and then other areas, like the Mist Falls, that are still mostly green, with pockets of yellow.
Color spotters Barbara Richter and Gary Skipper II visited independently last weekend, but came away with the same report – the colors are poppin’!
If the area receives more weather (wind and rain) this might be the last REALLY good weekend up in Bishop Creek Canyon. There will still be colors, but there will also be lots of leafless trees, which is why we are marking this area as a GO NOW! location.
