Color spotter Peter Robbins was up at his place near Lassen last week winterizing and noticed some nice natural color all along Highway 44 from just below Shingletown down to Redding.
“Redding, at 500 feet, is always glorious from end October to Thanksgiving,” he said “owing to all the exotics planted by city and private owners. Not great for photography, but if you want to feast your eyes on gorgeous colors, Redding should last for another week or so.”
Additionally when he got home to the Roseville/Rocklin area, there were lovely colors all around within a cityscape setting. Again, these areas should hold up well for another week or so.
