Fall Color Report, Shasta Cascade

Color spotter Michael Beatley has been traveling for a bit but he recently returned home to Plumas County and kindly sent us a report.

This past weekend I drove from Meadow Valley on Bucks Lake Road into Quincy and onto Jackson Street, which runs parallel to Main Street and is currently lined with Victorian homes and beautiful fall color, he said.

The color runs from Jackson St. to Quincy High School, with the gorgeous Maples planted In the early 1960’s. It continues onto Quincy Junction Road that goes past the high school through American Valley to Spanish Creek near Oakland Camp.

Spanish Creek runs from Meadow Valley, six miles through American Valley near Quincy and onto the North Fork of the Feather River, Beatley explained.

“PS. Quincy is way past 50-75%, as reported.  It is 90-100%,” he added.
