Just before the current storm rolled into the Eastern Sierra, Dave Pabinquit took to the sky and captured some stunning images of the aspens and cabin at Laurel Creek.

Pabinquit recalled that “last year’s images of that area [at this time] were at solid peak color.”

Once again, it seems it has been a funky mix of color this fall season for the Eastern Sierra. The current cold snap should change any remaining yellowing leaves to peak color, but many branches in the area will most likely be bare.
