Unusual Color in the Central Valley

Beyond leaves turning color in the fall, we also get clouds and rain, which can offer their own version of fall colors, according to photographer Philip Reedy.

“Yesterday morning (Oct. 16), with clouds on the horizon, I headed out early hoping for a colorful sunrise.  I was not disappointed as it was quite beautiful,” he said.

We agree that sunrises like this one add a beautiful palette to the fall color spectrum.

And, Reedy added, “I was so focused on the sunrise that I didn’t even notice the rainbows behind me until I turned around to return to my car. Quite a nice surprise.”
