Color spotter Bruce Wendler found that McGee Creek was still showing strong colors as of Oct. 16, “with great willow bush and rabbit bush colors before the horse ranch and great colors up on the trail as the road ends.”

“Even the big cottonwood trees are joining in,” he said.
