In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it’s good to slow down and take a breather sometimes. When color spotter Gavin Zaid’s email landed in my inbox, that’s exactly what I did. I stopped and breathed in the beauty of his photos of the Sabrina Lake Campground area and Sabrina Lake.
His email came on the heels of a report from another color spotter, Angie Plaisted. Her images from the area were equally as breathtaking, making me realize I better hustle and get this post up before the beauty blows away for the season.
Zaid took his images on Oct. 14, 2024, with his wife Angelica as the model.
“The colors are popping,” he said.
“Lovely Sabrina Basin,” added Plaisted in her report. “What a gem that entire area is! There may be a few shots you haven’t seen before, because we tend to go off the road down along the creek where most people don’t go. It is so amazing down there… and no crowds.”
Lake Sabrina (9,150′) – PEAK to Past Peak, you almost missed it.
