Eastern Sierra, Fall Color Report

We don’t receive too many reports from Intake II in the Bishop Creek Canyon, but last week we received two. Seeing the colors and reflections at this beautiful area in Inyo County reminded us of its grandeur.

While most color spotters are distracted by the popular North, South and Sabrina lakes, Angie Plaisted and Dave Pabinquit went off the beaten color spotting path just a hair to Intake II.

Pabinquit put it well with his report. “Yesterday (10/10/24) the Eastern Sierra had some interesting sky conditions, with cloud cover and haze. Decided to park myself at Intake 2 and catch some trout. Little did I know I would be treated to some nice colors across from where I was fishing. Caught my limit too!”

While Plaisted visited over a week ago, so the images are most likely much different than how the spot looks today, she captured the same gorgeous color.
