Color spotter Steve Arita hasn’t submitted a report in awhile, but when he found himself chasing fall color in the Rockies this week he figured he would submit a few photos.  Below are the specifics:

1. Aspen trees, almost all are at full peak, I would estimate about 90-95%.

2. Location: Along Ohio Creek Road, which goes about 25 miles in length from Gunnison, CO.

3. Photos were taken around 9:30 am on 9/26/24, sky was clear with some clouds, temp was in the low 60s.

Arita said that the entire area in Colorado, from Crested Butte down through Durango is simply beautiful right now. “Photos don’t do it justice, one has to experience it with your own eyes,” he explained.
