Into the Wood for Fall Color

Eastern Sierra, Fall Color Report

Mt Wood 092524 Copy
Mt. Wood (9/25/24) Scott Quirsfeld

Scott Quirsfeld captured an array of color at the base of Mt. Wood in the Eastern Sierra this week. Mt. Wood has an elevation of 12, 657 and is clearly Near Peak, even from a distance.

Mt. Wood rises above the June Lake area and is composed of metamorphic slate, and clearly some fall color foliage.
