Over the holiday weekend we received several reports that small pockets of color are starting to pop up in Mono County, especially around the Rock Creek and McGee Canyon areas. Diana Vaz snapped a shot of her son among the yellow aspens at Rock Creek while Francisco “Paco” de Jamon shared some fun video footage, also of Rock Creek.

While it is only the beginning of what we hope to be a glorious season, it is getting us excited. It is a good time to start planning your visit to the fall destination of your choice this year.

If the Eastern Sierra is where you plan to take in autumn’s show, take note that Inyo and Mono counties just became even more accessible for your fall adventures!

United Airlines is offering flights into the Bishop Airport (BIH) for a limited time this fall. Direct flights are available from BIH to San Francisco (SFO) on Fridays and Sundays from September 6 through October 6, 2024.

Check the United Airlines website for current flight dates and times. All dates and schedules subject to change without notice.
