This year, 2017, is my 1st year I have really seen color, in Bishop and further. Prior to that, I had only seen the apple picking area near Rileys that has not even reached color yet as of this year.

Thanks for commenting. Beautiful areas of fall color in and near Bishop, right now, include Pine Creek (west of Round Valley), and eventually Buckley and Rawson Ponds. Their locations are identified on the California Fall Color Map on this site. Wet areas (wetlands, creeks and streams) are the best places to find great fall color in the Owens Valley.
